PRDS CHAIRMAN BRAHMPURA AND FAROOQ ABDULLAH CONVENE TO DISCUSS PUNJAB'S BUSINESS SECTOR AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT

The Chairman of Punjab Rural Development Society, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, and former MLA, convened with former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, for a constructive meeting over lunch at Circuit House in Amritsar on Tuesday. The extensive two-hour discussion centered on trade relations and mutual concerns between Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

In a press statement released following the meeting, Chairman Brahmpura shed light on the hurdles faced by Punjab's business community engaged in diverse trading activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Farooq Abdullah offered unequivocal support from Jammu and Kashmir to Punjab, assuring a proactive stance in addressing any forthcoming challenges encountered by the business sector.

Brahmpura emphasized the importance of nurturing cordial trade policies between the two states to invigorate their economies positively. Furthermore, plans were unveiled to establish a hospital and old age home in Khadoor Sahib in honor of the esteemed Hon'ble Jathedar Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, lauded for his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Punjab.

Reflecting on past collaborations during Dr. Farooq Abdullah's tenure as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, where players from the region participated in coaching camps in Punjab, Brahmpura advocated for reinstating such programs to enhance the skills of sports enthusiasts from both states.

Brahmpura expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Farooq Abdullah on behalf of Punjab's populace for gracing Amritsar with his presence today, fostering unity and brotherhood between Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

Concluding the meeting, Dr. Farooq Abdullah conveyed his contentment with the existing strong ties between the two states, expressing optimism for further fortifying these relations in the future.
