Women's Day program was organized under the joint aegis of Women Empowerment Cell of Tantia University Sriganganagar and Women and Child Development Department. The program was presided over by University Chairperson Sunita Tantia. 

Chief guest was Additional District Collector Reena Chhimpa, special guests were Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department Sumitra Bishnoi and Deputy Commissioner of SGST Neetu Sain. 

(SUBHEAD)ADM Chhimpa said that after graduation, girls and women have very little time to make a career. So, don't wait, start preparing for a career during school-college studies itself. Develop your personality well to get importance in society. 

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) MM Saxena said that whether it is family or office in our daily life, we get full support of women power. 

Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department Sumitra Bishnoi said that we have to keep our thinking clear from the beginning of our career. First, we should decide what we want to become. 

A book on homeopathy 'Road to Recovery' and another on Social Psychology by Dr. Rekha Soni, convener of Women Empowerment Cell, were released. 

Harsha and Group staged a play. Jashanpreet Kaur presented a one-act play 'Journey of a smart girl'. The winners of the poster competition held recently were felicitated. The stage was conducted by University's Public Relations Officer Dr. PC Acharya and Assistant Professor Sangeeta Aggarwal.
