DR. TANTIA BATS FOR MORE MEASURES FOR WELFARE OF DIVYANGJAN

An online meeting of the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD, Kolkata), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, had an in-depth brainstorming on the welfare of Divyang persons.

Executive Member Dr Mohit Tantia expressed the need to expand the scope of NILD so that the positive impact of these efforts is visible in all sectors of the country. This is also important because the decisions taken in such meetings form the basis of the upcoming welfare schemes and the Government of India takes these suggestions very seriously and decides the direction of the policies to be made in support of the disabled.

(SUBHEAD)(MOREPIC1) In the meeting, Director Lalit Narayan appreciated the significant contribution of Dr Mohit Tantia and said that NILD is definitely benefiting from the experience of the work being done by him on the ground.

NILD is a Government of India organization dedicated to the upliftment of Divyangjan. Dr. Mohit Tantia, Vice Chairman, Tantia University is a member of NILD and from time to time he gives important suggestions for the welfare of Divyangjan. He always strives towards making the disabled self-reliant.
