ARMY COMMANDER SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND LT GEN MANJINDER SINGH FELICITATES THE ESMS, VEER NARIS, VEER MATAS IN THE GAURAV SENANI SAMAROH

The Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army organized a grand Ex-Servicemen (ESM) rally, Gaurav Senani Samaroh at the Salaria Sports Stadium, Bathinda Military Station with the theme “Serving, Veterans and Civil Administration together” The event was attended by approximately 5000 Retired Ex Servicemen (ESM),Veer Naris, Veer Matas and their families from Bathinda and Mansa districts.
On the Occasion, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Sapta Shakti Command, extended a warm welcome to the Veterans and facilitated them for their selfless service and sacrifice for the nation, highlighting their vital role in the Indian Army. The General Officer assured the ex-servicemen that the Government and the Indian Army are committed to resolving their problems and providing them with the respect and care they deserve.
He said that the rally aimed to unite serving soldiers, ex-servicemen, and civil administration. The rally is to provide a platform for ex-servicemen to resolve their grievances and learn about various schemes extended by the government and other agencies for their welfare.
On the occasion, Army Commander awarded the ESMs, Veer Naris, Veer Matas. The beneficiaries were provided with cheques of various welfare schemes, Wheel chais, Sewing machines, Bikes, bicycles and medical equipments during the programme.
The event also saw huge participation by Civil Administration including District Collector and the representatives of various departments of Ministry of Defence viz. Directorate of Indian
Army Veterans, Army Welfare Placement Organisation, Defence Pension Disbursing Office and Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme.
Various stalls were set up by banks, state government and civil administration to educate the ex-servicemen and their dependents about various benefits and schemes. The attendees were also briefed on SPARSH (Pension disbursement) software and distributed literature on using it.
A dedicated grievance redressal cell was set up to address the concerns of ex-servicemen and to provide on-the-spot solutions to various problems faced by the veterans.
The event showcased mesmerizing performances of South Indian traditional martial art, Kalaripayattu and Gatka, the martial art of the Sikhs, which filled the audience with immense enthusiasm. The energetic presentation by the Army Band also captivated the onlookers.
The rally was a testament to the Indian Army's commitment to taking care of its veterans and their families. The veterans expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces for their continuous care and support.
