CBI NABS TWO ACCUSED INCLUDING A CGST SUPDTT., ONE OTHER ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS. 13K

Central Bureau of Investigation (CB) has apprehended two accused including a CGST Superintendent, Range-170, CGST, Nehru Place, New Delhi and a private person for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.13000/- from the complainant. 

A case was registered by CBI on 28.03.2025 against the said Superintendent, Range-170, CGST, Nehru Place, New Delhi on the basis of a complaint. It was alleged in the complaint that said accused demanded bribe of 8-10% of GST refund amount of Rs.1,33,000/- from the complainant for clearing refund of his claims in this regard. Further, accused, CGST Superintendent agreed to accept bribe of Rs.13,000/- from the complainant.

CBI laid a trap and caught a private person while accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 13,000/- on behalf of accused Superintendent, CGST, Nehru Place Division, New Delhi from the complainant. Both aforesaid accused persons have been apprehended. Investigation is continuing.
