BK Mohini Punjabi alias Mohini Didi has been appointed as Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris organisation. She was serving as Additional Administrative Head earlier.

The decision by the Managing Committee makes a new beginning as only Dadis had been serving as the chief of the NGO in the past.

(SUBHEAD)BK Shashi Prabha, member secretary of the organisation, informed that BK Laxmi Aggarwal alias BK Munni Didi will be Additional Administrative Head.

Born in 1941 to a philanthropic family and educated at the University of Delhi, BK Mohini Didi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, political science and journalism. She met the Brahma Kumaris when she was a teenager and began studying and serving with the BK’s while she was still in college. She established a regional headquarters in America in 1978 and represented the BK’s at the United Nations from 1981. In the same year she acquired the Peace Village Learning and Retreat Center in the Catskill Mountains, north of New York City.

BK Mohini Didi is a deep and subtle introvert who spends much of her time in contemplative silence. She continues to speak widely and write about the role of awakened consciousness in a world in search of wisdom, reflection and transformation. Her articles are carried by The Guardian and other newspapers.
