AUTHOR MANOJ DHIMAN LAUNCHES 'LEELA-HANS LITERARY SOCIETY' IN MEMORY OF LATE PARENTS

Hindi author Manoj Dhiman has announced the formation of a literary organisation titled the Leela-Hans Literary Society (LHLS), in memory of his late parents. The initiative aims to promote literary activities across languages.Manoj Dhiman emphasised that LHLS will work to foster literary endeavours without being confined to any single language. “No doubt, LHLS will add a new dimension to the existing literary ecosystem,” he said.

 He also shared that his parents had always inspired and supported his creative journey. The names of the office-bearers of the society will be announced soon.

A prolific writer, Manoj Dhiman has authored several books, including Late Night Party (Short stories, 2007), Baarish Ki Boondein (Poetry, 2009), Shoonya Ki Ore (Novel, 2012), Yeh Makaan Bikau Hai (Short stories, 2021), Khol Kar Dekho (Short stories, 2022), Birju Naai Ki Dukan (Novel, 2024), Jaagte Raho (Short stories, 2024) and Dharti Par Laute Aabhasi Duniya Ke Awtar (Novel, 2025).

Manoj Dhiman currently serves as a Member of the Board of Studies (Postgraduate) for Hindi at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, for the tenure July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026.

Manoj Dhiman’s father worked as a journalist for over five decades, contributing to numerous leading Dailies in Hindi, Punjabi, English, and Urdu from Ferozepur (Punjab). Born on February 20, 1920, Manoj Dhiman’s father passed away on April 5, 1995. Late Dhiman also authored books like Ferozepur Guide and Faridkot Guide, along with many creative articles.
