BET BUSTED: 3 CLEAN BOWLED IN IPL GAMBLING RAID!

A GAMBLING DEN OPERATING IN THE NORTH-WEST DISTRICT WAS BUSTED BY THE STAFF OF AATS/NORTH-WEST. THREE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN GAMBLING ACTIVITIES WERE ARRESTED.
02 LAPTOP, 01 LED, 04 NOTEPADS, 02 REGISTERS, 03 MOBILE CHARGER, 01 LAPTOP CHARGER, ONE CASH COUNTING MACHINE, ONE SWAP MACHINE YES BANK, CASH RS 6700/- AND 07 MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED FROM THE PREMISES.

With the arrest of three accused individuals, a gang involved in gambling activities was busted by the team of AATS/North-West. During the operation, the following items were recovered from the premises: two laptops, one LED television, four notepads, two registers, three mobile chargers, one laptop charger, one cash counting machine, one Yes Bank swipe machine, ₹6,700 in cash, and seven mobile phones.

In an effort to curb crime and criminal activities in the North-West District, police staff was deployed to monitor and prevent any illegal activity in the area. On the intervening night of April 19, 2025, secret information was received regarding individuals involved in gambling activities at AG Block, Shalimar Bagh.

(SUBHEAD)Acting on this information, a raiding team was constituted under the supervision of Inspector Jitender Tiwari, I/C AATS/North-West. The team comprised SI Ravi Saini, SI Akashdeep, HC Paramjeet, HC Kamal, HC Pardeep, Ct. Karan, Ct. Om Prakash, Ct. Uttam, Ct. Sagar, and W/Ct. Dolly. The team was thoroughly briefed and tasked with apprehending all individuals involved in the gambling operation.

Mr. Bhisham Singh, IPS, DCP, North West Distt. said, the team conducted a raid at the specified premises in AG Block, under the jurisdiction of PS Shalimar Bagh. During the operation, two individuals were found engaged in gambling activities and were immediately apprehended. The following items were recovered from the premises: two laptops, one LED television, four notepads, two registers, three mobile chargers, one laptop charger, one cash counting machine, one Yes Bank swipe machine, ₹6,700 in cash, and seven mobile phones.

The accused were found to be operating an IPL betting racket.Accordingly, a case—FIR No. 248/25 dated 20.04.2025 under Sections 3 and 4 of the Gambling Act—has been registered at PS Shalimar Bagh, and further investigation has been initiated.

KNOW THE ACCUSED : Rakesh Kumar, son of Ram Dhan, resident of WZ-1474/2, Sukur Basti, Rani Bagh, Delhi; age 52 years.,  Rajender Arora, son of Murlidhar Arora, resident of AN-57D, Richi Rich, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi; age 48 years. Surender Kumar Mittal, son of Ram Kumar Mittal, resident of K-378, Shakurpur JJ Colony, Delhi; age 47 years. 

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
