JALALABAD POLICE ARREST 6 ACCUSED WITH ILLEGAL WEAPONS AND DRUG MONEY

The Jalalabad Police have arrested 6 accused with illegal weapons and drug money.

SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said that under the supervision of Inspector Sachin, SHO Police Station City Jalalabad, a police team comprising also of HC Baljit Singh were patrolling in the area for checking suspects. A special informant conveyed to them that Aman Kumar alias Amna, Boor Singh, Arshdeep Singh alias Singha residents of Tiwana Kalan, Karan of Dashmesh Nagri, Jalalabad, etc. are preparing for an incident like robbery with weapons.

The police party raided and arrested 5 suspects including a juvenile. 3 illegal pistols, 6 magazines, rounds, 1 shell and 2 sharp weapons, 760 grams of heroin and drug money worth Rs. 2,50,000 have been recovered from the arrested persons. Against them, a case under Sections 310(4), 310(5), 111 BNS, 25/54/59 Arms Act, was registered and further action is being taken.

The SSP said that during the investigation, it was revealed that 6 criminal cases have already been registered against the accused Aman Kumar under various sections. Further, after the investigation – Paramjit Singh and Sajan Singh of village Mohammad Wala, Jalalabad were named in the case. Out of them Paramjit Singh has been arrested. Earlier 7 cases against Sajan Singh Saji are registered under Arms Act, NDPS Act. Currently he is lodged in the Faridkot Jail.
