CM CONGRATULATES NEWLY APPOINTED PUNJAB BJP PRESIDENT KEWAL SINGH DHILLON, EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN PARTY’S ELECTORAL PROSPECTS

Face2News/Chandigarh

Expressing confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s growing political momentum in Punjab, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday said the state is poised to elect a BJP-led double-engine government in the 2027 Assembly elections.

He asserted that under the leadership of newly appointed Punjab BJP President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon, the party would further strengthen its grassroots presence and emerge as a credible vehicle for development, good governance and economic progress in the state.

The Chief Minister was addressing party workers and leaders after attending the programme held on the occasion of assumption of office by Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon as Punjab BJP President at the Punjab BJP headquarters in Chandigarh.

Extending his congratulations and best wishes to the new state president, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon’s organisational experience, public connect and commitment to the party’s ideology would provide fresh impetus to the BJP’s expansion in Punjab.

During his visit, the Chief Minister also performed Pooja. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party is an ideology-driven organisation where national interest and public service remain paramount. The BJP’s commitment to nation-building and welfare-oriented governance, he added, has enabled it to emerge as the world’s largest political party.

Highlighting Punjab’s immense contribution to the nation, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the state has historically played a pivotal role in safeguarding national security, strengthening the agricultural economy and driving industrial growth. He further said that the people of Punjab aspire for greater development, employment opportunities, prosperity and transparent governance, and said the BJP is committed to fulfilling these aspirations through inclusive and development-oriented policies.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that under Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon’s stewardship, the BJP organisation in Punjab would gain renewed energy, strategic direction and organisational strength. This, he said, would further deepen the party’s engagement with the people and accelerate its outreach across urban and rural constituencies alike.

Referring to the transformative governance initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that India is progressing rapidly towards becoming a developed nation. He said that once a BJP-led double-engine government is established in Punjab, the state would witness a new phase of growth marked by increased investment, industrial expansion, infrastructure development and enhanced employment opportunities for the youth.

Calling upon BJP workers to intensify organisational efforts, the Chief Minister urged them to take the party’s policies, achievements and development agenda to every village, town and polling booth across the state. He said the coming years would open new opportunities for Punjab and that the people would increasingly support a political culture rooted in development, transparency and accountability.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also appealed to the people of Punjab to collectively contribute towards restoring the state’s position among the country’s leading and most progressive regions, emphasising that sustained development and good governance can only be achieved through collective participation and a shared vision for the future.

Union Minister, Sh. Ravneet Singh Bittu, BJP National General Secretary, Sh. Tarun Chugh, former Punjab BJP President, Sh. Sunil Jakhar, Member of Parliament, Sardar Satnam Singh Sandhu, Sh. Narinder Singh, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Sh. Vijay Sampla, and several senior BJP leaders, party functionaries and distinguished guests also remained present on this occasion.
