OLYMPIC SPIRIT SET TO TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT HOCKEY STADIUM, GHOSH TO GRACE CELEBRATIONS

Chandigarh’s sporting fraternity is gearing up for a grand celebration of International Olympic Day as Hockey Chandigarh hosts a special event at the Hockey Stadium, Sector 42, on Tuesday evening. The programme is expected to bring together athletes, coaches, sports officials and enthusiasts under one roof to celebrate the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect.

Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh, Governor of Haryana, will attend the event as the Chief Guest. H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh, and Dr. Sagarpreet Hooda, IPS, DGP, UT Chandigarh, will be the Guests of Honour.

The event, scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm, will be hosted by Karan Gilhotra, President, Anil Vohra Vice President,Hockey Chandigarh, along with members of the association. Karan Gilhotra said the celebration aims to inspire youngsters to embrace sports and fitness while strengthening awareness about the Olympic movement. A large turnout of players, students and sports lovers is expected at the venue.
