POSTAL SERVICE NOT JUST ABOUT DELIVERING LETTERS, IT’S AN EXCELLENT MEDIUM OF PUBLIC SERVICE: COLONEL SOLANKI

Director (Postal Services) of Rajasthan West Zone, Jodhpur, Colonel Satish Solanki has said that postal service is not limited to just delivering letters, but it is an excellent medium of public service. Many services are now being provided with modern technology.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the post office ‘Gen-Z Post Office’ at Udyog Vihar, Tantia University campus, Sriganganagar. He said that the postal service is a heritage of 250-years old and is now changing with the times and reaching Gen-Z. He said that after Jaipur and Jodhpur, Sriganganagar is the third city in Rajasthan where a Gen-Z post office has been opened.

Vice Chairperson of Tantia University, Dr. Mohit Tantia said that today is the era of mobile. One second message has probably made us forget the habit of writing letters. Message comes – Hi! We replied- Hello! And the matter is over. But whenever a letter came, there was curiosity in the heart even before opening it. As soon as I took the envelope in my hand, I felt that someone close to me had remembered me.

Postal Superintendent Ajay Kumar Chugh expressed his gratitude to everyone. Colonel Solanki, Vice Chairperson Dr. Mohit Tantia and Postal Superintendent Ajay Chugh were honored with Rajasthani Pagri and a memento. Raj Kumar Jain, Manish Sachdeva, Kaushal Upveja, Jay Narain Purohit, Soumya and Mangi Lal of Tantia Group were also presented with mementoes. The stage was moderated by Senior Relationship Officer Raj Kumar Jain. Dr. Vikas Sachdeva, General Manager of Tantia Group was among those present.
