BALRAJ'S TON STRENGTHENS WITH LETHAL BOWLING FROM ANMOL AS CHANDIGARH AND GOA DUEL ENTERS IN THRILLING PHASE

The Cooch Behar Trophy match being played between Chandigarh and host Goa at Sanguem Cricket Ground, Goa has taken a thrilling turn. In reply to Goa's 298, UT boys bundled out for 274 runs which ensured hosts a slight lead of 24 runs. Later, Goa also lost six wickets in their second innings for the loss of 127 runs. 

Earlier, Chandigarh while resuming their overnight score of 180/3, could add only 94 runs and was all out for 274 runs. Balraj Singh scored 110 runs with the help of 19 fours while skipper Paras smashed 59 runs by hammering seven boundaries and two beyond the fence. Pundalik Naik (4/36) took the maximum share of four wickets. 

Goa, in its second innings was dominated by bowler Anmol Sharma (3/41) who clinched three vital wickets – Veer Yadav (40), Yash Kasvankar (19) and Pundalik Naik (0). He was well supported by Nikhil (2/28) who dismissed Shantanu Nevagi (13) and Nisarg Nagvekar (0). Struggling at 88/6, Swapnil Gaonkar and Dishank Misquin paired for 39 runs in 123 balls to manage the damage control. Unbeaten Dishank (34) and Swapnil (4) were at the crease before stumps were drawn as Goa was leading with 151 runs.
