DC’S PHONE CALL PLAYS MAGIC FOR ASHA ASSOCIATES

The sensitivity and readiness displayed by Sriganganagar District Collector Saurabh Swami cleared the decks for the pending three-month honorarium of ASHA associates. Just on his phone call, the top brass at Jaipur have released the honorarium. To express gratitude on Thursday the ASHA Sahyoginis met the DC and presented a bouquet to him.

The ASHA Sahyoginis had given a memorandum to the DC on Monday demanding a pending honorarium, on which he held talks with senior officers and informed them about the problem. ACS Shubhra Singh of the Medical and Health Department and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, MD, National Health Mission, took a positive stand and instructed the concerned personnel to take immediate action.

(SUBHEAD)The budget was released from the state level to the district level on Tuesday itself. The budget was immediately sent to the concerned section. The honorarium will soon be transferred to the accounts of the ASHAs through the treasury.

District President of ASHA Sahyoginis, Sita Swami, along with office bearers Neetu Goyal and Parvesh Devi expressed their gratitude to District Collector Saurabh Swami. ASHA in-charge Rai Singh Saharan, COIEC Vinod Bishnoi and PCPNDT in-charge Randeep Singh were present. The action will benefit 1800 workers across the state.
