THREE-DAY “SUDARSHAN SHAKTI 2023” EXERCISE CONCLUDED

Sapta Shakti Command of the Indian Army concluded the three-day exercise ‘Sudarshan Shakti 2023’ along the Western borders in Rajasthan and Punjab.

The Exercise was designed to validate operational plans in a network-centric environment. The elements of combat power, combat support and logistic support were exercised in a synergised application under all domains of enemy threat including Grey Zone Warfare as part of high tempo operations. Integrated use of force multipliers like special forces and deployment of niche technologies covering drones, tethered drones, loiter ammunition as well as key aspects of electronic warfare, thus making it a unique event in its scope and objectives.(SUBHEAD)

The movement and application of large forces earmarked from outside the theatre was also validated. Exemplary training standards and high morale was displayed by the participating troops despite soaring temperatures. This exercise also facilitated in meeting the stated objectives of Five Pillars of Transformation enunciated by COAS, General Manoj Pande in Jan 2023.

Lt Gen BS Raju, General Officer Commanding-In-Chief of the South Western Command and Air Marshal PM Sinha, Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief of Western Air Command witnessed the exercise. Their involvement is a testament to the jointness and interoperability between the Army and Air Force during different operational scenarios.
