The Mission AABAD 30 launched with the inspiration of CM Bhagwant Maan led Punjab Govt's program 'sarkar tuhade dawar' brings a qualitative improvement in the lives of the people of the villages near the international border as this provides benefits of govt schemes and services at their doorstep.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal said this at the AABAD Suwidha camp organized on Thursday in village Khanpur near the international border.
AABAD 30 program has been started for 30 villages situated along the international border, with the aim of ensuring the availability of basic facilities in these villages, as well as raising the socio-economic level of the people of these villages and providing them all the govt services. As many as 5466 people have availed the services in the last 18 AABAD Suwidha Camps organized earlier, while in today's camp around 400 people have benefited.
The DC said that the aim of the Punjab government is that people should not have to come to the offices for their work, instead administration should reach the villages and solve the problems of the people. She said that in this camp various types of certificates and multiple services are provided on the spot, while the common and personal complaints are also heard by the authorities.
Today the youth of the village demanded a playground, while the farmers demanded that the Grain Procurement Yard of the neighbouring village Siwana be paved. The DC directed the concerned departments to take immediate action in this regard.
