As per the change announced by the state govt in office timings, Fazilka district government offices opened today at 7:30 am. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal reached her office at 7:22 am while the entire staff had reached the offices by 7:30 am.
Dr. Senu Duggal said that the timings of govt offices have been changed to facilitate work from 7:30 am to 2 pm. With this, people will get govt services earlier before the afternoon when mercury soars, they can return to their homes much earlier now. This will also save energy. Govt employees have also hailed the decision and said that it will increase the productivity of the offices.
The DC has appealed to the residents of the district to reach the government offices as per the new timing for their work. The new time will be valid till July 15.
Dr. Duggal informed that the timings of the Sewa Kendras in the district will be as before i.e., from 9 am to 5 pm. These centers will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.
