Delhi police reported to have arrested six Proclaimed Offenders during the fortnight.
The POs identified as Meenu Varma d/o Late Kulbhushan r/o Vishwas Nagar Delhi Age 39 Yrs (PO)., Malaye Gupta s/o Late Krishan Lal Gupta r/o, Sec 17 Rohini Delhi Age 37 Yrs (PO). Kiran Chopra @ Rakhi Chopra w/o Susheel Chopra @ Sunil Chopra @ Shilu r/o Pkt-4 Sec-25 Rohini Delhi Age 40 Yrs (PO)., Vijay Chopra S/o Chander Bhan age 50 Yrs r/o Sec-6 Rohini Delhi (PO)., MD Khalil@ MD Salim s/o Siran Khatun r/o Jhuggi Tukuman Gate Ghadwalan Delhi (PO)., Javed @ Pawwa@ Jaidev S/o Md. Shakir r/o, Tagor Garden, Delhi & also at G-Block, Nihal Vihar, Delhi (PO).
Under the operation “UDGHOSH” a drive is going on in the Rohini District to nab the Proclaimed Offenders, Parole jumpers and tracking down the absent BCs by constituting a designated team “ PO squad ” including women staff with expertise in catching absconders in each police station and in Special Staff, Rohini District under the supervision of concerned ACP Sub-division and ACP Operations, Rohini District respectively and under overall supervision of DCP/RD.
Dr. G.S. Sidhu, IPS, DCP, Rohini Distt, said, in the sequence, under the operation “UDGHOSH”, this time, PO Squad Special Staff Rohini district, PO Squad North Rohini and PO Squad South Rohini have done commendable job by arresting six Proclaimed Offenders after working on all the available technical information related to the cases and by visiting all the possible hideouts of the absconders and further collecting human intelligence about the absconders. PO Squad Special Staff Rohini has arrested 04 POs and PO Squad PS North Rohini and PO Squad PS North Rohini has arrested 01 PO each during this fortnight.
INCIDENT AND ARREST: On 07.04.2023 a Proclaimed Offender Meenu Varma r/o Vishwas Nagar Delhi Age- 39 Yrs has been arrested by the PO staff of Spl. Staff Rohini at secret information. She was declared PO by Hon’ble court of Ms. Richa Sharma, M.M/North Rohini Court, Delhi in case FIR No. 110/2015 u/s 323/341/506/509/34 IPC PS K.N.K Marg, Delhi. The PO has been produced before the Hon'ble Court.
On 28.03.2023, at secret information, a Proclaimed Offender namely Malaye Gupta s/o Late Krishan Lal Gupta r/o Sec 17 Rohini Delhi Age 37 Yrs has been arrested by the PO staff of Spl. Staff Rohini. He was declared PO by Hon’ble court of Mr. Mayank Goel MM /North Rohini court Delhi, Delhi in case FIR No. 431/2020 U/S 379/411 IPC PS K.N.K Marg Delhi on 26-04-2022. The PO has been produced before the Hon'ble Court.(SUBHEAD)
On 08.04.2023, a Proclaimed Offender namely Kiran Chopra @ Rakhi chopra w/o Susheel Chopra @ sunil Chopra @ shilu r/o Pkt-4 Sec -25 Rohini has been arrested by the PO staff of Spl. Staff, Rohini at secret information. She was declared PO by the Hon'ble court of Mr Abhilash Malhotra, M.M/North, Rohini court, Delhi in case FIR No. 158/2013 u/s 420/467/468/471/120B/34 IPC PS K.N.K Marg on 07.06.2014. The PO has been produced before the Hon'ble Court.
On 08.04.2023, a Proclaimed Offender namely Vijay Chopra S/o Chander bhan age 50 Yrs r/o Sec-6 Rohini Delhi has been arrested by the PO staff of Spl. Staff, Rohini at secret information. He was declared PO from the Hon'ble Court of Sh. Abhilash Malhotra, M.M/North, Rohini court, Delhi in Case FIR No. 158/2013 u/s 420/467/468/471/120B/34 IPC PS K.N.K Marg on 07.06.2014. The PO has been produced before the Hon'ble Court.
On 04.04.2023, a Proclaimed Offender namely MD Khalil@ MD Salim s/o Siran Khatun R/o Jhuggi Tukuman Gate Ghadwalan Delhi has been arrested by the PO staff of PS North Rohini at secret information. He was declared PO from the Hon'ble court of Sh. Parnav joshi MM, Rohini court, Delhi in case FIR No. 232/2014 u/s 379/411 IPC PS Model Town Delhi on 12/12/2022. The PO has been produced before the Hon'ble Court.
On 03.04.2023, a Proclaimed Offender namely Javed @ Pawwa@ Jaidev s/o Md. Shakir r/o Tagor Garden, Delhi & also at G-Block, Nihal Vihar, Delhi has been arrested by the PO staff of PS South Rohini at secret information. He was declared PO from the Hon'ble court of Sh. Anshul Mehta, MM, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi in case FIR No. 470/17 u/s 356/379/411 IPC PS Punjabi Bagh, Delhi on 29/03/2023. He was found to be running in JC in another case vide FIR No. 447/21 u/s 394/397/34 IPC PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi.
