INCIDENT OF 01.04.2023, IN WHICH ADVOCATE VIRENDER WAS SHOT DEAD IN DWARKA, ACCUSED ABSCONDING SINCE DAY OF INCIDENT. PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 12 CRIMINAL CASES.

The team of NR-II, Crime Branch has arrested the main accused Pradeep @ Praveen @ Baby, 39 years, R/o Village Sannoth, Narela, Delhi. The accused was absconding and wanted in the sensational day light murder case of advocate Virender R/o DDA multi-story, Sector-12, Dwarka, Delhi registered vide FIR No. 158/23 U/s 302/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act at PS Dwarka South, Delhi.
On 01.04.2023, an incident had taken place in which Advocate Virender was shot dead by accused riding a bike. A case FIR No. 158/2023 was registered under the sections of Murder and Arms Act in PS Dwarka South.
During investigation, it came up that Pradeep@Praveen and Naresh@Lala are involved in the incident, as there was an ongoing feud between them and the deceased. Considering the sensitivity of the case, various teams of Crime Branch were also put on the task of tracing and arresting the accused persons.
A team comprising of SI Satender Dahiya, SI Sanjeev Gupta, SI Pardeep Dahiya, SI Sukhvinder, ASI Ashok, ASI Sunil, ASI Kulbhusan, ASI Pravir, HCs Ajay, Gaurav, Pradeep, Ashok, Sachin, Devender, Nitin, Anuj and Ct Vishal and HC Kapil led by Insp Sandeep Tushir and Insp Sandeep Swami and overall supervision of ACP Narender Singh was constituted by DCP Vichitra Veer and Joint CP S.D. Mishra to nab the shooters.
The teams worked on the technical surveillance and manual information to track the accused persons. The accused switched off phones and did not use any gadget. While developing information from the sources, the team could zero in on the fact that one of the accused Pradeep is using an Accent car of white colour, numbered DL4CAJ9171. Staff was immediately activated to check all the exit points, toll nakas and cameras installed in the bordering areas to track the vehicle and trace the route.
(SUBHEAD)As the team was able to establish his route, staff was got stationed on the toll booths of possible routes. Meanwhile, manual information was also being developed. The accused was constantly on the move and was changing his location all the time. He slept in his vehicle and mostly took routes of small villages away from highways.
Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, the team travelled hundreds of Kms everyday trailing him in NCR, UP, Haryana etc. The hard work of the staff bore results and the accused person named Pradeep @ Praveen @ Baby, 39 years, R/o Village Sannoth, Narela Delhi was apprehended from the area of Bhalgarh (Sonepat, Haryana). The accused was trying to flee, but he was chased and intercepted and overpowered by HC Ajay and HC Gaurav. A case FIR No. 83/2023, U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch has also been registered for possession of illegal arms by the accused Pardeep.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED: The accused Pradeep was born in 1984 at village Sannoth, Narela, Delhi. He had studied upto 8th class only and left his studies midway. He started wrestling at Guru Hanuman Akhara, Roshanara Road, Delhi. He could not get sufficient money from his family to fulfill his personal needs. So he started to commit car theft to fulfill his personal needs. In the year 2008, he was apprehended by police when he was changing number plate of a stolen car, which he stole from Amba Cinema, Delhi and arrested in M.V. Theft case of PS Roop Nagar, Delhi. The family of the accused had a property dispute with the deceased advocate Virendra Narwal. Pardeep @ Bobby along-with his associates tried to eliminate the deceased advocate in 2017, for which a case vide FIR No. FIR No. 259/17, U/s 307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi was registered.
