A CASH REWARD OF 20,000/- WAS DECLARED ON HIS ARREST ACCUSED WAS DECLARED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER

A team of AGS, Crime Branch, on the basis of technical analysis and secret information apprehended a criminal namely Sonu Bhalotiya, 27 Years R/o Village Bhaloth, District Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan from Meerut Cantt., U.P. The accused Sonu Bhalotiya was wanted in an abetment to suicide case of a lady constable of Delhi Police of PS Palam Village. Accused was declared proclaimed offender and a cash reward of ₹ 20,000/- was declared on arrest of the accused. The accused was frequently changing his addresses and locations and was evading his arrest.
On 03-08-2021, a PCR call was received at PS Palam Village regarding suicide by one lady constable of Delhi Police. A complaint was filed by deceased’s sister alleging therein that her sister had committed suicide because of harassment by one Sonu Bhalotia. The accused Sonu came in contact of her sister in the 2020.
Thereafter, accused Sonu got closer to deceased mentioning that he is resident of her neighbouring village and also made her believe that he is unmarried. Accused Sonu also took access of e-mail ID and password of deceased and extracted all the contact details, photos and videos from her Google account. In the year 2021, deceased told all facts to her sister and she also came to know that the accused Sonu was already married. She blocked mobile number of the accused Sonu but he kept on contacting her through different mobile numbers.
In the meantime, engagement of deceased was fixed with another boy. On this, accused Sonu threatened the deceased that if she won’t talk to him he will tell everything to her fiance. She got depressed and on 03.08.2021, she committed suicide after getting victimized (mentally) by the accused Sonu. Search of the accused was made but he was absconding and evading his arrest. He was declared proclaimed offender. Cash reward of ₹ 20,000/- was declared on his arrest.
A team of AGS, Crime Branch led by Insp Krishan Kumar and Insp Gulshan, comprising of SI Sachin, ASI Kuldeep, HC Vinod, HC Deepak, HC Narender, HC Shyam Sunder, HC Mintu, HC Pappu, HC Dharamraj, HC Omvir & Ct. Dheeraj under the close supervision of Sh. Naresh Kumar, ACP/AGS was constituted by Sh. Amit Goel, DCP/Crime & Sh. S.D Mishra, Jt.CP/Crime to nab the criminal involved in this incident.
(SUBHEAD)Secret informers were deployed to track the accused. A secret information was received by HC Mintu, regarding presence of accused in Meerut, U.P. Thereafter, on the basis of technical surveillance, a raid was conducted in Meerut area and accused Sonu was apprehended from Sub Area, Meerut Cantt, UP.
INTERROGATION: Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, pecial Commissioner of Police Crime, the accused Sonu Bhalotia is resident of Village Bhalot, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan and has studied upto 12th standard. He has one younger sister, who is married. His mother is housewife and father is farmer.
Accused Sonu got married in 2019. In Dec 2019, Sonu was coming from Srinagar to his hometown. When he boarded bus from Dhaula Kuan to Jhunjhunu he met the deceased and befriended her. Accused Sonu gained trust of the deceased and kept on maintaining friendship with her.
After some time, deceased Sangeeta came to know that Sonu was already married and she asked Sonu to stop contacting her, but he kept on contacting the deceased and threatened her to keep in contact with him. After some time, engagement of deceased with another boy was fixed and the accused contacted the boy and told him about his relation with the deceased, on which the engagement was broken off.
After this deceased got depressed and accused Sonu kept on stalking her on the mobile phone. On 03 August 2021, deceased hanged herself in the area of PS Palam. After getting news of deceased’s death, accused fled from his parent unit at Army Supply Corp, Bangalore. He remained absent without leave from his duty. Accused was well aware of his warrant of arrest and direction of Court and was evading his arrest deliberately, for this he had also changed various SIMs for not getting to be traced by Police.
