SENSATIONAL DAY LIGHT ROBBERY OF RS.50 LACS SOLVED WITHIN 10 HOURS

A team of AEKC, Crime Branch, has successfuly apprehended the accused namely Aakash Sharma, 19 years R/o Village Katha, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, alongwith one CCL from the Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh and solved the sensational day light robbery of Rs. 50 lakhs, registered at PS Hazrat Nizamuddin within 10 Hrs. Fifty Lacs robbed amount, scooty used to escape and mobile used for the offence have been recovered.

On 10.02.2023, at about 03:15 PM, a PCR call was received at PS Hazrat Nizamuddin, wherein it was stated that two boys have robbed Rs. 50 Lakh at gun point from a garment godown at Jangpura Extn., Delhi. Accordingly, a robbery case was registered at PS Hazarat Nizamuddin on the complaint of Mr. Aashish Chauhan. Complainant stated that at the behest of the accused persons, he came to Jangpura Extn. for a money deal, but in between, two boys who came for the dealing, robbed the cash at gunpoint and ran away. 

A team of AEKC, Crime Branch comprising of SI Shyam Bihari Sharan, SI Naresh Kumar, ASI Rohit Solanki, ASI Mohd. Talim, ASI Sanjeev, HC Gurvendar, HC Somesh, HC Tej Partap, HC Yunus and Ct. Anuj led by Insp. Rajeev Bamal and under the close supervision of ACP Sushil Kumar of AEKC was constituted by Sh. S.D. Mishra, Jt. CP/Crime. Team responded swiftly and analyzed all the available CCTV footages and the CDRs of the suspects.(SUBHEAD)

HC Gurvendar received a specific information about the criminals involved in the robbery. On the basis of the said information and with the help of technical aids, the team apprehended accused person namely Aakash Sharma along-with one CCL from the Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. All the looted cash i.e. 50 Lacs, scooty used to escape and mobile phone used in the crime have been recovered from their possession.

INTERROGATION:

Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav), IPS Special Commissioner of Police Crime, Delhi, said during interrogation, it revealed that in connivance with one Zubin Joshi, they trapped the complainant Ashish Chauhan and called him in Jangpura on the pretext of providing Rs. 75 Lacs in white in exchange of Rs. 50 Lacs in cash. They had done recce of the meeting point two days before the incident and had parked their scooty in the adjoining street as escape strategy after committing the crime.

They took the weapon from one Shivam, cousin of the accused Aakash. On 10.02.2023, when all gathered in Jangpura at the garment godown of one Sarbjit Singh for the meeting. When complainant Ashish Chauhan showed Rs. 50 Lakh to the accused persons. As per the plan, they threatened him by pointing out the gun at him and robbed the bag containing cash and fled away.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON: Accused Aakash Sharma, age-19 years is resident of Village Katha, Baghpat, UP. He is studying in 1st year in a Polytechnic Institute. His father has expired and mother is house wife. He has three siblings. His friend CCL got him involved in the crime.
