Lakhwinder Singh Sidhu won the election of Bar Association Abohar by a margin of 63 votes defeating his rival Ramesh Jain for the post of President. Lakhwinder Singh, the candidate for the post of Speaker, got a total of 217 votes while Ramesh Jain got 154 votes. Sikandar Kapoor defeated his rival Manjit Jasuja by a margin of just 5 votes in a close fight for the post of secretary.Sikandar got 188 and Manjeet Jasuja got 183 votes.
For the post of Joint Secretary, Lakhbir Singh defeated his rival Advocate Kajal by 38 votes, Lakhbir Singh got 204 votes while Kajal got 166 votes. Advocate Jitendra defeated his rival Sunil Mehra by 89 votes for the post of cashier. Jitender got 229 votes while Sunil Mehra got 140 votes. The lawyers expressed their gratitude to the committee that conducted the elections for conducting free and fair elections.
