ACCUSED FOUND INDULGED IN SUPPLY OF NARCOTIC DRUGS IN DELHI & ADJOINING BORDER AREAS FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS AND HAD ESTABLISHED HIS NETWORK IN THE RURAL AREAS OF ROHINI, OUTER-NORTH & OUTER DISTRICTS OF DELHI.

Under Operation Sajag, a continuing drive of North-West District for containment of crime & criminals and to dominate the streets so as to reduce street crimes as well as to instill confidence & sense of security among citizens, a drug-peddler was nabbed by a team of Narcotics Squad/ North-West District.
Under this drive, alert patrolling staff and special pickets were deployed for intensive checking and during this exercise, a major breakthrough was achieved whereby a team of Narcotics Squad/ North-West District nabbed a drug-peddler namely, Parminder S/o Jaipal R/oUpvan Apartment, Sector 28, Rohini, Delhi, Age 40 yrs and recovered fine quality heroin weighing 255 grams, worth about Rs. 01crore in the international market from his possession. One scooty used in commission of crime also recovered. It was major catch by the North-West team, during intensive checking in view of MCD Elections.
In view of forthcoming MCD Elections, the team of Narcotics Squad of North West District prepared a list of various suspicious persons who are involved in drug peddling crime to find out their pattern of crime. Acting proactively, a dedicated team led by Insp. Virender Kumar, I/C Narcotics Squad/North-West consisting of SI Ashok Kumar, ASI Satish Kumar, HC Rohit, & W/CT Ritu under the close supervision of Sh. Pankaj Singh, ACP/Operations and overall supervision of the undersigned was constituted to nab the illegal drug suppliers in and around the area of the district. The team was detailed and specifically tasked to identify and nab criminals involved in drug peddling. (SUBHEAD)
On 01.12.2022, SI Ashok Kumar of Narcotics Squad of North West District received a secret information about the suspicious activities of a person suspected to be a drug peddler. The information was shared with other members of the team and after obtaining necessary permissions of the seniors, immediately a trap was laid down to nab the suspected drug peddler. Subsequently, based on collected details and information, the team successfully nabbed one suspect who was later identified as Parminder S/o Jaipal R/oUpvan Apartment, Sector 28, Rohini, Delhi, Age 40 yrs. During his cursory search, one transparent polythene containing some pink coloured contraband substance was recovered from his scooty no. DL 4S DD 1845.
Usha Rangnani, IPS, DCP, said, on enquiry, he confessed that he is a drug peddler and was coming in the area for selling the illicit contraband. On weighing, the contraband substance recovered from Parminder S/o Jaipal was found to be 255 grams. On further verification with the help of testing kit, the pink coloured 255 grams of contraband substance was found to be fine quality Heroin, worth about Rs. 01 Crore in the international market.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 899/2022 U/s 21/25 NDPS Act was registered at PS Shalimar Bagh, Delhi and investigation was taken up.
During his sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he indulged in transportation of Heroin for the past 2 years and supplied the Heroin to various clients on demand. He further disclosed that he used to take the delivery of Heroin from Rohini in bulk quantity from a supplier and further supplied it to the clients on their demand. Parminder S/o Jaipal was arrested in the instant case. He found to be a habitual and active criminal found previously involved in 01 case of NDPS Act in PS Maurya Enclave, Delhi.
Further efforts are being made to trace his any other associate and the supplier.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Parminder S/o Jaipal R/o Upvan Apartment, Sector 28, Rohini, Delhi, Age 40 yrs. He has studied upto 10th Class. Later he came in contact with a drug peddler who is resident of Sultanpuri & Rohini and indulged in illegal transportation of Heroin from them and delivered it to his various clients. To earn easy money, he also started assisting others and started supplying Heroin to various clients on demand in bulk quantity.
