Team of Special Cell/SR led by Insp. Ranjeet Singh and Insp. Satvinder under the supervision of Shri Attar Singh, ACP/Special Cell/SR has arrested a notorious gangster named Pradeep Yadav (aged 31 yrs) s/o Hoshiyar Singh r/o Baldev Vihar, Village Karala, Delhi on 19.11.2022 from Ghevra area of Delhi. The accused was wanted in a case of firing and attempt to murder of the year 2021 in the area of Aman Vihar, Delhi. One semi-automatic pistol of .32 bore and 02 live cartridges were recovered from him.
Inspr. Ranjeet Singh and Inspr. Satvinder of Spl. Cell/SR with their team have been working on gangster in Delhi/NCR and in the processes identified Pradeep Yadav, an active gang member of Gogi gang, as a target. Information was gathered about him and discreet surveillance was kept on his movements in Outer Delhi and Rohini area. On 19.11.2022, a tip-off was received that Pradeep Yadav would be coming near Ghevra Village Delhi to meet one of his associates between 1 PM and 3 PM. Accordingly, a team consisting of Inspr. Satvinder, ASI Ajay Tokas, ASI Manoj Sharma, HC Devender, HC Anil, HC Dheeraj, HC Harvinder and Ct. Rajesh Kumar was formed and a trap was laid in the said area.
Pradeep Yadav was spotted coming in a celerio car and he was asked to surrender, but he whipped out his pistol and threatened to open fire. He cocked his pistol but before he could fire, he was overpowered by the alert members of the team and was disarmed. One semi-automatic pistol of .32 bore and 2 live cartridges were recovered from him. A case under appropriate section of law was registered against him and investigation was taken up.
Mr. P.S. Kushwah, DCP, Special Cell, said, the accused Pradeep Yadav has been found absconding in 2 cases and he is involved in total 4 criminal cases including that of attempt to murder, robbery, criminal intimidation, firing, and Arms Act in Delhi. In a case of firing, intimidation and mischief committed in Delhi, he has been absconding for the last one and half year. In this case, he along with his brother Yogesh and other 4/5 associates had entered the house of one Sanjay forcibly in the night of 14/02/2021 to take revenge of the beating of his friend Rajesh’s son by Sanjay and his family members. To avenge that humiliation, Rajesh with his associates planned and executed the said attack on the family of Sanjay on 14/02/2021.(SUBHEAD)
Apart from above, the accused Pradeep Yadav along with his associates including Dinesh Karala and others had forcibly entered the house of a person in Aman Vihar and had beaten him and his family members severely to settle personal score of Dinesh Karala. The accused persons had also opened fire to intimidate the victims. Pradeep was arrested in this case. However, he had jumped the bail and has been absconding since then. The trial court has also issued NBWs against him on 22/09/2022 in the case.
In another incident, Pradeep along with his associates had robbed a bus conductor of his money on 30/04/2019 in Aman Vihar. Further, in the year 2012, he along with his associates had beaten up a shop keeper in Kanjhawla area on monetary dispute.
Pradeep Yadav, originally a resident of village Bhalswa has been residing in Village Karala for more than 25 years. He did many odd jobs including working as a driver in Delhi. However, he came in the contact of Dinesh Karala, an active member of Jitender Gogi gang in the year 2008. Dinesh Karala is also the close associate of Deepak Boxer, who is presently running the Gogi gang after the latter’s murder in Rohini court. Pardeep is also infamous for providing logistic support to the fellow gang members. Further investigation of the case is on progress.
