GOLD JEWELLERY 1.890 KGS WORTH RS.ONE CRORE RCOVERED FROM NAXALITE AREA OF JHARKHAND, ONE HELD .

The arrest of a receiver Chhotu Rajak r/o District Chatra, Jharkhand, age-24 years arrested by team of PS Kotwali with recovery of gold jewellery weighing 1.890 kilograms misappropriated by a servant namely Anil from jewellery market Kucha Mahajani, Chandni Chowk, Delhi who is inhabitant from Bihar.

On 11.11.2022, a PCR call regarding theft of jewellery by servant was received at PS Kotwali and the same was entrusted to ASI Shishu Bhan for further necessary action. On the receipt of information, ASI reached at the spot where caller Sh. Manoj Jaiswal r/o Kucha Mahajani, Chandni Chowk, Delhi met at the spot who narrated the entire incident with regard of misappropriation of gold jewellery viz necklace sets and ear tops weighing approx. 2.5 Kg., kept in transparent plastic boxes by a servant of another firm m/s Padmavat Jewellers, namely Anil Kumar.

The boxes above noted were handed over by employee Vishal Aggarwal to alleged Anil Kumar who came at his shop at around 05:30 PM with the directions to hand over these boxes to Akhil Jain of m/s Padmavat Jewellers. After one hour, Vishal Aggarwal contacted to Akhil Jain through intercom to return the articles. On this, Akhil Jain told that neither he directed Anil to bring any box of jewellary nor Anil gave him the same. On this, he made search for alleged Anil Kumar but could not be traced out. Subsequently, a case vide FIR 918/22 dated 12.11.2022 u/s 406 IPC was registered at PS Kotwali, Delhi and investigation was taken up. 

Immediately a dedicated police team led by Inspr. Neeraj Kumar, (Insp. Inv.) comprising of SI Yogesh Kumar, Ct Puran Mal and Ct Amit Deshwal was constituted, under the close supervision of ACP Ved Prakash, SHO/PS Kotwali and guidance of Shri Vijay Singh, ACP/Kotwali to make search for accused Anil Kumar.

First of all, the team made enquiry from the employer of the alleged Anil, Sh. Akhil Jain, who gave address/details as Anil r/o Gaya, Bihar & he also stated that at present he was residing somewhere at Shastri Park area, Delhi. Therefore the team first of all searched the alleged at Trans Yamuna area in Shastri Park, Delhi, but he was found absconding. During further investigation, it came to know that accused Anil Kumar had left Delhi, with jewellery for Bihar.

During the investigation, the CDR of cellphone of alleged were obtained and scrutinized. During which, it was again surfaced that accused Anil Kumar had left for Bihar. Thereafter, without wasting time on 13.11.2022, the team left for Gaya Bihar and reached PS Kasma District Aurangabad, Bihar. Wherein it came to know that the alleged accused Anil Kumar has hidden himself with property in Naxalite area of District Chatra Jharkhand. The senior officials of Jharkhand Police were contacted to facilitate the team. On this, team members departed and went through Naxalite area. On intervening night of 14/15.11.2022 the team reached at PS Partappur, District Chatra, Jharkhand.(SUBHEAD)

A joint team of local police equipped with fully armed, conducted a raids in the Naxalite area in midnight of 15/16.11.2022 at the house of his brother-in-law (Jeeja) namely Chhotu Rajak r/o above noted i.e. Village Kaura District Chatra, Jharkhand & apprehended him from his house.

INTERROGATION:  Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi, IPS,  Dy.Commissioner of Police, North District, said during interrogation, the accused Chhotu Rajak disclosed that his brother-in-law namely Anil Kumar along with his friend Deepak Kumar came to his house before 2-3 days and handed over the jewellery to him to keep in safe custody. All they planned for the disposal of jewellery and on the same day, they left to deep Naxalite area to avoid their arrest deliberately.

Subsequently, misappropriated jewellery items viz, (1) Ear rings 156 pieces weigh 640 grams. (2) Ear rings 174 pieces weigh 214 grams. (3) Necklaces 28 pieces weigh 758 grams (4) Necklace 11 pieces & 10 pieces ear rings weigh 278 grams. Total Weigh 1.890 kilograms were recovered from his house at the pointing of accused Chhotu Rajak. The recovered property aforementioned was taken into police possession through a seizure memo. The remaining case property is in the possession of absconding accused persons. The further investigation of the case is continuing to arrest them and recover the case property.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED CHOTI RAJAK: Accused Chhotu Rajak r/o Gram Kaura, PS Pratappur District Chatra, Jharkhand, age-24 years lives with his wife and two children in his native Village. He does labour work as tractor driver in his native village.

Accused Anil Kumar R/o Village Babu Ramdih Post Banke Bazar Disttt. Gaya, Bihar is his brother -in- law. Before 2-3 days Anil Kumar along with his friend Deepak Kumar reached at his house and handed over the misappropriated jewellery. On this, they planned to distribute the said jewellery among them after some time. On this, he concealed the jewellery aforementioned in and around houses. Anil Kumar along with his friend Deepak left his house for unknown hideouts.

ACCUSED PERSONS ABSCONDING: Anil Kumar R/o Village Babu Ramdih Post Banke Bazar District Gaya, Bihar. Deepak R/o Village Lutua Tolla Belwa Tad Post Banke Bazar, PS Imamganj, Bihar.
