THE TEAM SEARCHED MORE THAN 100 HOTEL GUEST HOUSES IN HARIDWAR, RISHIKESH AND OTHER PLACES BUT NO CLUE. FURTHER INFORMATION WAS RECEIVED THAT THE ACCUSED MAY BE AT KARNAL. THE TEAM IMMEDIATELY REACHED KARNAL AND FINALLY NABBED THE ACCUSED NAMELY SANDEEP SINGH @ RINKU S/O R/O DALMIA & KEDIA CITY, MINI BAY, PORT BLAIR, ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLAND FROM KARNAL, HARYANA WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO ESCAPE TO BHUBANESHWAR, ORISSA, IN A PRIVATE CAB. THE ACCUSED RUNS A HOTEL UNDER THE NAME DESI LOUNGE AT DOLLYGANG, PORT BLAIR. HE HAS BEEN HIDING HIMSELF AT KOLKATTA, DELHI AND DHARIWAL, PUNJAB SINCE THE ABOVE MENTIONED CASE WAS LODGED.

Southern Range (SR) of Crime Branch arrested one Sandeep Singh @ Rinku, 38 YEARS r/o Dalmia & Kedia City, Mini Bay, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Island was wanted in a rape case, in which the then Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar has already been arrested by Andaman and Nicobar Police, registered at PS Aberdeen, Andaman & Nicobar Island. The accused is having reward of one lac (Rs 1,00,000/-) on his arrest.
On 01/10/22, a sexual assault case was registered in PS Aberdeen, Andaman & Nicobar. Allegations were leveled against the then Chief Secretary Jitender Narain and his other associates Sandeep @ Rinku, (hotel owner) and Rishi the then Labour Commissioner of Andaman.
Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPSm Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, in this case the then Chief Secretary Jitender Narain has already been arrested by Andaman and Nicobar Police. Andaman and Nicobar police had announced a reward of Rs. 01 lac on the arrest of Sandeep Singh @ Rinku, (hotel owner) and Rishi the then Labour Commissioner. Andaman and Nicobar police had also requested to help in arresting the remaining accused persons.(SUBHEAD)
Southern Range (SR) got an information about absconding accused. A team of SR section, Crime Branch consisting of SI Yogesh Tanwar, ASI Rajesh Baisoya, HC Charan Singh, Ct. Abhay Pathak, Ct. Karanveer & Ct. Vipin Kumar under leadership of Inspr Vijay Pal Dahiya and overall supervision of ACP Naresh Solanki was constituted by Sh. Rajesh Deo, DCP/Crime.
The team searched more than 100 hotel guest houses in Haridwar, Rishikesh and other places but no clue. Further information was received that the accused may be at Karnal. The team immediately reached Karnal and finally nabbed the accused namely Sandeep Singh @ Rinku s/o r/o Dalmia & Kedia City, Mini Bay, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Island from Karnal, Haryana while he was trying to escape to Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, in a private cab. The accused runs a hotel under the name Desi Lounge at Dollygang, Port Blair. He has been hiding himself at Kolkatta, Delhi and Dhariwal, Punjab since the above mentioned case was lodged.
