• THE CALL CENTRE SCAMMED WITH MORE THAN 1700 INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF EASY LOAN AND WAS DISGUISED AS A MEDICINE SUPPLY STORE.

A secret, information was received regarding an illegal call centre being running at Bal Udhyan Road, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, which cheats with innocent people in the name of providing loan. The call centre was being run by Faisal R/o Sector–23, Sanjay Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P and team.
On enquiry, Faisal misleads the team by saying that he is running the cited call center for selling/advertisement of the medicines. He even kept some medicine on the counter to mislead the team.
Mr. M. Harsha Vardhan, IPS, DCP, Dwarka Distt, said, on sustained interrogation, it was revealed that all the employees were working as customer support agents and they used to call the customers for offering loans, against which they provide the bank account details and ask the customers to deposit the processing fee amount in that bank account.
The accused person who has taken the place on the lease, where the illegal call center was running is Paras R/o Sector-23, Sanjay Nagar, Ghaziabad, U.P, is absconding in this case. Efforts are being made to nab him.
Apart from Paras three other persons are also involved in this fraud syndicate who used to provide back end services like bank accounts for collecting money through & fraud SIM cards, advertising or sending bulk SMS regarding loans on mobile numbers. Their details are being ascertained in this case and efforts are being made to nab these accused persons. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 761/22 U/s 420/120B/34 IPC was registered at PS Bindapur.(SUBHEAD)
During the investigation, it surfaced that the call centre was running since Feb 2022. As per the scrutiny of the registers and further interrogation and inquiry conducted so far since Feb 22 till date, the accused persons cheated more than 1700 innocent people. Total 29 registers containing a list of contacted persons depicting money/amount transactions were recovered. The amount cheated by these persons is likely to exceed 01 crore rupees.
A total of 11 persons, five male & six female, who work in the call center were found at the cited premises in the call center. The detail of all the employees is as under:

(Main Mastermind), Mohit Kumar R/o Indira Park, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, Age 32 years., Amir R/o Shish Ram Park, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, Age 26 years., Rohit Verma R/o Arya Samaj Road, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, Age 27 years., Vishal R/o Sector-23, Sanjay Nagar, Ghaziabad, Age 23 years., Nidhi R/o Mahaveer Enclave Part-02, Dabri, Delhi, Age 22 years., Megha R/o Vikas Puri, Delhi, Age 22 years., Anshu R/o Pratap Garden, Bindapur, Delhi, Age 22 years., Shweta R/o Bakkarwala, Delhi, Age 26 years., Usha R/o Karam Pura, Delhi, Age 30 years. and Archana R/o Sainik Enclave, Delhi, Age 34 years.
RECOVERY: 16 android mobile phones., 05 keypad phones.,29 registered being used for made entries, 02 note pads and one 01 laptop.
