'CHIRANJEEVI MARATHON” ATTRACTS HUNDREDS OF YOUTHS

The main streets of Sriganganagar witnessed an enthusiastic crowd of youths Monday morning who raised slogans like “Chiranjeevi Rahe Sriganganagar Hamara”, 'What to think about illness-accident now, when you are with Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme'.

The Chiranjeevi Marathon kickstarted from Sukhadia Circle and reached Maharaja Ganga Singh Chowk through main roads. The marathon was flagged off by CMHO Dr. Manmohan Gupta, PMO Dr. Baldev Singh Chauhan and Deputy CMHO Dr. Karan Arya.

At some places, people welcomed the marathon by showering flowers. The marathon reached Maharaja Ganga Singh Chowk while passing through Gaushala Marg, Birbal Chowk, Rabindra Path, Bhagat Singh Chowk, where the marathon was welcomed by the department.

The marathon was organized for the awareness of Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme and the message of better health, students as well as departmental officers and other common people ran. All the participants were given citations by the department on the spot.

The winners were rewarded with a cash amount. During this there was special support of DPC Dr. Sunil Bishnoi, COIEC Vinod Bishnoi, Principal Suraj Sheer, Senior Assistant Naresh Bhadauria, Nursing Officer Shyam Goswami, Bhavani Shankar and social worker Somesh Sharma. The stage was conducted by senior TV journalist Rakesh Mitwa.(SUBHEAD)

The students of SN Nursing College, Surendra Dental College, Government GNM and ANM School had significant participation. Departmental officers were honored by Jain Sansthan for better awareness and organization.

Traffic police and scout students made a remarkable contribution in the program. Under the state government's ambitious Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, a health insurance cover of Rs.10 lakh and accident insurance cover of Rs.5 lakh is being given. The State Government also plans to give smart phone to the female head of the family besides free internet facility for three years.
