Tantia University Veterinary College's campaign to save destitute cows from lumpy skin disease continued despite heavy rains in Sriganganagar near Abohar. Inclement weather could not shake the spirits of those who had made it a habit to serve.

A team led by veterinarian Dr. Amandeep Bodal vaccinated 90 destitute cows against lumpy skin disease, many were treated with betadine. The team included biologist Dr Vikas Sachdeva, livestock assistant Sushil Verma, Sumit, BVSC students Ridit, Mohit, Avtesh, Rehan and Vamsi.

Dr RPS Baghel, Dean of the Veterinary Faculty of the University and Coordinator Daljit Singh said that veterinary surgeons were treating destitute cows to prevent lumpy skin disease. As part of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's ongoing efforts to control the disease, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Lal Chand Kataria spoke to the Vice Chairman of Tantia University, Dr Mohit Tantia yesterday and sought cooperation.
