Paras Health is set to transform surgical care in the region with the launch of Panchkula’s first robotic surgical platform — the Da Vinci Xi System. Known globally for its precision and minimally invasive approach, the system will be officially inaugurated on Sunday, June 29, by Sri Ajay Chagti, IAS, Secretary, Health, Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.

The Da Vinci Xi is considered the most advanced robotic-assisted surgical system in the world. It enables surgeons to perform delicate and complex procedures with enhanced precision, visibility, and control. The key benefits for patients include smaller incisions, less blood loss, reduced pain, minimal scarring, and quicker recovery.

“This is a major step in making advanced healthcare more accessible,” said Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Facility Director, Paras Health Panchkula. “From cancer to gynecological and urological procedures, the Da Vinci Xi will allow our teams to manage high-risk, rare surgeries with greater confidence and patient safety.”

The robotic system will support surgeries across urology, oncology, gynecology, and general surgery, bringing metro-level medical innovation closer to patients in Panchkula, Haryana, and the surrounding regions.

The upcoming launch event will also see participation from senior surgeons, healthcare leaders, and other dignitaries, marking a significant milestone in elevating regional medical infrastructure. With this installation, Paras Health Panchkula becomes one of the few hospitals in North India to offer robotic-assisted surgeries, furthering its commitment to next-generation, patient-first care.
