Chandigarh rowers Jaspal and Yuvraj have been selected for the U23 Men’s National Rowing Coaching Camp, being conducted at the Army Rowing Node (ARN), Pune, Maharashtra, from 7 October to 31 October 2026.
The camp is being organised as part of the preparations for the upcoming 2026 Asian Rowing Championships for the U19 and U23 categories.
The selection is a significant achievement for Chandigarh rowing and reflects the strong performances of the city’s young rowers at the national level.
Earlier this year, Jaspal and Yuvraj won the Gold Medal in the Men’s Double Sculls event at the Under-23 National Rowing Championship, held at the Army Rowing Node, Pune, Maharashtra, in June 2026.
Their impressive performance at the national championship earned them recognition at the national level and led to their selection for the U23 national coaching camp.
President CRA Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu Senior Advocate and former Advocate general Punjab, CRA Secretory Rajiv Sharma and all the office bearers of Chandigarh Rowing Association (CRA) congratulates Jaspal and Yuvraj on their selection and wishes them every success during the national camp. The CRA also appreciates the efforts of their coaches, support staff and all those who have contributed to their development.
The selection of the two Chandigarh rowers is expected to further strengthen the city’s presence in Indian rowing and provide them with an opportunity to compete for selection to the Indian team for the forthcoming international championships.
