The first death anniversary of Brijmohan Bhai, former General Secretary of the Brahma Kumaris organization, was observed as ‘Sadbhavna Diwas’. Speaking at an interfaith conference held at Shantivan, Abu Road, on the theme “Sabka Malik Ek” Mahamandleshwer Kamal Kishore Maharaj of Divya Shakti Akhada, Saharanpur, stated that religions were created by humans, whereas the Supreme Soul created a single family. He emphasized that a magnificent India cannot be built until we break down the walls of religion. People from all faiths should come together on a common platform to honour the spirit of the One Supreme Soul and the concept of a single global family.
Prof. Mohammad Salim, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, and Mahamandleshwer Goswami Sushil Maharaj—National Convener of the Bharatiya Sarva Dharma Sansad and head of the Maharishi Bhrigu Peeth—remarked that religious tension does not arise from religion itself, but rather from a lack of understanding of its true meaning. Mohini Didi (Chief Administrator of the Brahma Kumaris organization), along with Additional Chief Administrators BK Munni Didi and BK Jayanti Didi, also shared their thoughts.
Brahma Kumaris General Secretary BK Karuna Bhai and Additional General Secretary BK Mrityunjaya Bhai, BK Pushpa Didi, BK Chakradhari Didi, BK Geeta, BK Sapna, Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok (former Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament), Marzban Nariman Jaiwala (Trustee, Delhi Parsi Anjuman), Dr. MD Thomas (Founding Director, Institute of Harmony and Peace Studies), Dr. AK Merchant, Parampal Singh (Chairman, Interfaith), Carmel Moghbelpour Tripathi (Director, Office of Public Affairs, Baha’i Community), Firoz Bakht Ahmed, and Mahamandleshwer Prabodhanand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara, Haridwar offered floral tributes.
