NCC CADET PADMA NAMGAIL BRINGS GLORY TO CHANDIGARH WITH HISTORIC EVEREST CONQUEST

In a remarkable achievement, Padma Namgail, a cadet from 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC, has etched his name in history by conquering Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, on May 18, 2025. As part of a 38-member team comprising 10 NCC cadets, Indian Army personnel, and Sherpa guides, Namgail's feat is a testament to his exceptional endurance, skill, and commitment to adventure and excellence.

This achievement is a proud moment not only for Namgail but also for the entire NCC fraternity, the whole nation and particularly for Chandigarh. His successful ascent of Mount Everest follows previous notable expeditions, including Mount Kang Yatse II and Mount Abi Gamin.

2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC has a rich history of nurturing resilience and leadership among youth, and Namgail's achievement serves as an inspiration for young aspirants across the Chandigarh region.
