AKASH SETHI SHINES WITH TRIPLE TITLE WIN AT CHANDIGARH MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP

The Chandigarh State Masters and Para Badminton Championships 2025 concluded on Sunday at Sector 42 Sports Complex, Chandigarh, witnessing thrilling matches and outstanding performances.

Around 120 senior players (35+ to 75+ age groups) and 16 para players competed fiercely in their respective categories. In a historic first, the Chandigarh Badminton Association (CBA) introduced the Para Badminton Championship to promote inclusivity and growth of the sport in the region.

Top Highlight: Akash Sethi emerged as the star of the tournament, clinching three titles with dominant performances. Based on their performances, the Chandigarh State Team will be selected to represent the region in the National Masters Championships, scheduled to take
place in Goa in March 2025.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, Sh. Sanjeev Bhambri, a prominent businessman and sports promoter, along with Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, IAS, President, CBA. The winners were honored in a grand closing ceremony, marking the end of an exhilarating championship,said Geeta Aggarwal, Honorary General Secretary, CBA.
