Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an accused Patwari, Patwar Halqa, Chhan Khatrian, Tehsil Hira Nagar, Kathua, (Jammu) for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10,000/- from complainant.
A case was registered by CBI on 23.10.2024 against accused Patwari, Patwar Halqa, Chhan Khatrian, Tehsil Hira Nagar, Kathua, Jammu on allegations that accused demanded a bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant for attestation of mutation in respect of land purchased by the complainant.
CBI laid a trap and caught accused Patwari red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant. Accused was produced before the competent Court where he was sent toJudicial Custody for 12 days.
CBI also conducted searches at the residential premises of accused. Investigation is continuing.
