CBI BOOKED AN NDIAN TELECOM SERVICE OFFICER , OTHERS IN DA , RECOVERS CASH OF Rs 2.5 LAKH LAKH DURING SEARCHES

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against an ITS (Indian Telecom Service :1999) Officer and others, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

It was alleged that accused (ITS:1999), while working in Rajasthan amassed assets in his name and in the name of his family members (Wife), (Mother) and HUF company at Jaipur, Ajmer and other different places in Rajasthan. It was further alleged that the said public servant had acquired assets in his name and in the name of his family members to the tune of Rs.1,48,83,998/- (approx) which were disproportionate to his known sources of income during the period from 01.01.2014 to 31.01.2017.

Searches were conducted at 05 locations including at Jaipur, Ajmer and Ahmedabad (Gujarat) at official and residential premises of accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents and Rs. 2.5 Lakh from the residence of the accused at Ajmer.

Investigation is continuing.
