CBI has apprehended Sub-Inspector, Police Station- Kalkaji, Delhi Police while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant.
A case was registered by CBI on 13.08.2024 against said Sub Inspector, Delhi Police, PS- Kalkaji, New Delhi on the basis of a complaint. It was alleged in the complaint that accused Sub Inspector demanded bribe of Rs, 20,000/- for settling a complaint of harassment lodged against the complainant by a lady. Later, accused agreed to reduce the demanded bribe amount to Rs. 15,000/-.
CBI laid a trap and accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant and was apprehended.
Searches were carried out at the residence and office of the accused and incriminating evidence has been recovered. The accused was produced before the CBI Court at RADC, New Delhi and sent to judicial custody. Further investigation in the case is under progress.
