ONE O PROMISED PAX TO SEND USA VIA DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, PAX DEPORTED FROM CHINA VIA BANGKOK, ENTRY WAS DENIED AT CHINA AIRPORT, CAUGHT DURING SCRUTINY OF DOCUMENTS AT IGI AIRPORT ON THE BASIS OF A FAKE IMMIGRATION STAMP ON HIS PASSPORT, ONE AGENT WAS ARRESTED EARLIER IN THE CASE

Continuing crackdown on fraudulent agents, staff of PS IGI Airport arrested one fraudster Haryana-based agent namely Sandeep S/o Gulshan R/o Village-Nilokheri, Karnal, Haryana 39 Years in Case FIR No. 365/24 dated: 26.05.24 U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 PP Act, PS IGI Airport, Delhi. He along with his associates arranged fake Immigration stamps on the passport of the pax to create a fake travel history.
The facts of the case are that in the intervening night of 25-26.05.24, one pax namely Kuldeep Singh S/o Gurmaan Singh R/o Village-Ghagga, Tehsil-Patran, Patiala, Punjab Age 32 years holding an Indian passport arrived at IGI Airport from China via Bangkok as a deportee.
During scrutiny of his travel documents, one fake departure Immigration stamp of IGIA Delhi affixed on his passport, was found fake. As the pax cheated Indian Immigration by traveling on a passport containing a fake Immigration stamp, a Case FIR No. 365/24 dated: 26.05.24 U/s 420/468/471 IPC & 12 PP Act, PS IGI Airport, Delhi was registered accordingly and investigation of the case was taken up.
During course of investigation of the case, pax Kuldeep Singh S/o Gurmaan Singh R/o Village-Ghagga, Tehsil-Patran, Patiala, Punjab Age 32 years was arrested. On interrogation, he disclosed that he has studied up to 12th class and many friends of his village had gone abroad for earning quick money, so he also decided to go to USA for better livelihood and met with one agent namely Akshay through one of his friends. The agent Akshay promised to send him to USA through different countries, in lieu of Rs 47 lakhs.
It was decided that the payment would be made after reaching the destination point. The agent further arranged tickets & Visas of Dubai, China, Suriname& Guatemala for his journey and also arranged fake Immigration stamp of IGIA Delhi on his passport to create fake travel history as he had never visited abroad.
Ms. Usha Rangnani, IPS,. DCP, IGI Airport said, the pax further revealed that he went to Bangkok from Delhi Airport and further went to China from Bangkok but on questioning by the Immigration staff at China Airport, he failed to give any satisfactory reply regarding the purpose of his journey and was deported back to India.
(SUBHEAD) During course of further investigation, agent namely Akshay S/o Ramesh R/o Vill. Hathira, Thanesar, Kurukshetra, Haryana 28 Years was nabbed from Delhi and arrested in the case. On sustained interrogation from accused Akshay, the name of one associate namely Sandeep was surfaced who was found actively involved in this case. Several raids were conducted at the possible hideouts on the instance of accused Akshay but he could not be traced despite best efforts.
Based on an input, a dedicated team led by Insp. Rajkumar Yadav, ATO/IGI Airport, comprising of SI Rahul Yadav and HC Birju was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/IGI Airport and the overall supervision of the undersigned. The team was briefed properly and tasked to nab the absconding culprit at the earliest.
On the basis of local intelligence and technical surveillance coupled with sincere and dedicated efforts, accused agent Sandeep S/o Gulshan R/o Village-Nilokheri, Karnal, Haryana 39 Years was nabbed from one of his hideouts in Patiala, Punjab.
On sustained interrogation, accused Sandeep confessed his guilt and disclosed that he has studied up to 12th class and from the year 2013 to 2018, he stayed in Japan where he came in touch with some agents who were working as agents and used to dupe people on the pretext of sending them abroad. So, after coming to India, he opened an office at Nilokheri, Karnal, Haryana in the name of “Just Great Services” which deals in ticket booking and sending people abroad.
He further disclosed that one of his friends namely Akshay had told him that one pax had approached him (Akshay) to arrange his (pax) journey to USA, and his friend Akshay had accepted that deal. The accused further disclosed that Akshay had asked him to work together in the deal which was finalized in Rs 47 lakhs.
It was decided that they would arrange tickets and Visas of all countries for the journey of the pax to the USA. It was also decided that the payment would be made after reaching the destination point. As per the deal, he along with Akshay arranged tickets & Visas of Dubai, China, Suriname & Guatemala for the journey of the pax. The accused further revealed that he and his friend Akshay also arranged fake Immigration stamp of IGIA Delhi on the passport of the pax to create a fake travel history as he had never visited abroad.
Investigation of the case is in progress to unearth the involvement of other agents and to scrutinize bank accounts of the accused and to trace his possible involvement in other similar complaints/cases also.
