UTCA RECEIVES 3047 PLAYER REGISTRATIONS FOR SEASON 2024-25

UT Cricket Association (UTCA) has received a record 3047 registrations in various categories/formats for boys and girls for the session 2024-25. UTCA invited registrations form the period between March 1 to March 15.

In the Under 16 boys category, 709 players got registered while in Under 19 this time the figure rose to 925. As many as 997 players registered in Under 21 while 254 applied in Men’s Seniors format. Meanwhile, a significant increase has been seen in girls' categories as well. 37 players registered in Under 15 while 73 girls are in contention in Under 19. 31 girls showed their interest in Under 23 while 21 girls in Women's Seniors.

Expressing his views on the enthusiasm shown by the players towards this season, UTCA’s President Sanjay Tandon said that compared to nearly 1800 registrations received last year, 3047 registrations received this year which is a clear indication that the children and youth are not only inclined for sports but they are also looking for a career in cricket. The figures are encouraging and UTCA is committed to building on them. He said that the dates for the trials will be announced soon.
