SEEKS SUGGESTIONS FROM SPORTSMEN AND PUBLIC BY MARCH 10 BEFORE IMPLEMENTATION OF SPORTS CODE: MEET HAYER, AFTER INCORPORATING THESE SUGGESTIONS, THE DRAFT WILL BE FINALIZED

To make Punjab the leading state in the field of sports again, under the efforts of the state government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, a Sports Code has been drafted for the Sports associations to conduct the sports events smoothly across the state.
Divulging the details, Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that the Sports Department has drafted Sports Code with the suggestions of experts for the better performance of the various Sports Associations of the state while supplementing the ongoing efforts for the betterment of sports. Public opinion has also been sought before implementing this code so that it can be implemented more effectively and efficiently.
Meet Hayer further said that a draft copy of the code has been uploaded on the department's website www.pbsports.punjab.gov.in to seek suggestions from sports persons, associations and the general public before implementing the sports code. Anyone interested can send suggestions about the code to the Department's email dir.sportspb@punjab.gov.in till 10 March 2024 so that public opinion and suggestions from sports people can be incorporated before finalizing the Code.
The Sports Minister said that the State Government has also implemented the new Sports policy efficaciously after taking suggestions from the general public, which brought good results in the Asian Games when the players of Punjab broke the record of 72 years and bagged record 20 medals. Now the Sports department has also prepared for the implementation of the Sports Code, which will greatly improve the management of sports in the state.
