ACTOR ALLEGES RS. 4.44 CRORE FRAUD BY MYFLEDGE DIRECTORS USING FORGED ICICI BANK STATEMENTS AND PROPERTY DOCUMENTS

(MOREPIC1)Face2News/Mumbai

Actor Aayush Shah, known for his roles in Mahabharat, Uttaran (Colors), Navya and Suryaputra Karn (Sony TV), has filed a criminal complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, alleging a massive loan fraud of ₹4.44 crore. The case has been co-filed by his sister, Mausam Shah, entrepreneur and co-founder of Maars Communicates. The matter was under investigation.

The complaint involves Sections 316, 318, 338 and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and names the accused as: Bishwajit Badal Ghosh (struggling singer & director, MyFledge Pvt. Ltd.) Piyalee Shyamlendu Chatterjee, Bijoya Subrat Kumar Das, Badal Chandra Ghosh, Shabab Hussain (aka Shabab Hashim)

ALLEGATIONS OF SYSTEMATIC FRAUD

Over the past four to five years, the accused allegedly secured financial loans totaling ₹4,44,48,000 under the guise of expanding their aviation and vocational training company, MyFledge Private Limited.

(MOREPIC2)(SUBHEAD)According to the Shah siblings, MyFledge directors initially paid small profits to build trust and presented ICICI Bank statements and property documents—naming Bishwajit Badal Ghosh, Piyalee Shyamlendu Chatterjee, Bijoya Subrat Kumar Das, Badal Chandra Ghosh, and Shabab Hussain—to establish credibility. However, these documents were later alleged to be forged. The loans were secured against 32 cheques, all of which reportedly bounced.

(MOREPIC3)(MOREPIC4)(MOREPIC6)  MyFledge has claimed operations in Bangalore, Lucknow, Bhopal, Guwahati, Raipur, Mangalore, Siliguri, Surat, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai, but the Shahs allege that these claims, alongside student success stories and property assets, were fabricated to mislead both investors and students.

VOICES OF THE COMPLAINANTS:

Actor Aayush Shah stated that, “We placed our faith in them because every interaction was backed by what appeared to be legitimate documentation—bank statements, property papers, and even initial returns. What we later uncovered was a systematic deception, designed to exploit goodwill and defraud us of a massive sum. Legal action is imperative to protect others from falling prey to such elaborate scams.”

Entrepreneur Mausam Shah added that “This was a calculated scam built over years of trust. Their pattern of exploiting students, employees, and lenders must be addressed with strict action.”

LEGAL PROCEEDING UNDERWAY

The case is being represented by Advocate K.P. Dubey of the Mumbai High Court, who described it as “a clear case of financial fraud executed through deception and forgery.”This case follows a growing trend of fraud complaints in the entertainment industry, with recent similar incidents reported by actors Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma.
