A 6-kilometer Promo Run was successfully organised by Sapta Shakti Command of Indian Army on Sunday as a prelude to the upcoming ‘Honour Run’ scheduled on December 7. The event was conducted with the theme “Bhartiya Sena: Shaurya Aur Balidan ki Parampara”.

The run commenced from Gandiv Stadium and covered areas of Queens Road and Jaipur Military Station, before concluding back at Gandiv Stadium. The event was flagged off by Lieutenant General HS Vandra, Chief of Staff, Sapta Shakti Command and it witnessed enthusiastic participation from serving personnel, veterans, families, and local citizens, reflecting Jaipur’s deep sense of respect and admiration for the Indian Army.

The Promo Run aimed to honour the courage and sacrifices of the Indian Army’s gallant soldiers and veterans, while also promoting fitness, health, and a spirit of nationalism among the citizens. The overwhelming response from participants highlighted the enduring bond between the Army and the people.

The forthcoming “Honour Run” in December will feature timed categories of 21-kilometer, 10-kilometers, and 5-kilometers, and is expected to witness large-scale participation from across the region. The initiative underscores the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to fostering national integration, physical fitness, and public engagement through meaningful outreach activities and honouring our veterans.
