6TH PANCHKULA DISTRICT SHASTRANG CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES

The 6th Panchkula District Shastrang Championship was successfully organized by Shastrang, Panchkula, on 22nd and 23rd August 2026 at Shastrang, SCO-193, 2nd Floor, Sector-16, Panchkula. The medal ceremony was held on the evening of 23rd August.

The ceremony was graced by Shri V. S. Kundu, Ex-IAS, as the Chief Guest. Shri Kundu is the President of Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Art. Mr. Ankur Gupta, Associate Director, Department of Cardiology, Paras Hospital, and Mr. Varun Grover, Managing Director, Amartex Industries Ltd., attended the ceremony as Guests of Honour.

On this occasion, Grandmaster Bikram Singh Thapa, 9th Degree Black Belt – the General Secretary/CEO of Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Art congratulated all the participants and parents for their enthusiastic participation and contribution towards making the championship a success.

He also encouraged parents to do exercises and learn this life saving skill. He motivated them to take it as a diet like diet is necessary in our life, exercise should also be.

Addressing the young athletes, the dignitaries motivated them to learn self-defence and encouraged parents to support their children in taking up martial arts for physical fitness, discipline, confidence and personal safety.

Around 100 young participants from various schools of Panchkula competed in the U-7, U-10, U-14, U-17, U-19, U-22 and A-22 categories for boys and girls. The championship featured various competitive events, including Target Drill, Defence Drill, Air Shield Combat, Combat Combo and Speed Combat.

U-10: Utkarsh Chaudhary – 1st Position, U-14: Sushant Thakur, Ayush Sinchuri, Aryan, Samarjot Singh and Naitik Khantwal – 1st Position, U-17: Anas Salmani, Abhay Sharma and Sarthak Bhardwaj – 1st Position , U-19: Shivam Sharma and Inder Prasad – 1st Position, U-22: Kunal – 1st Position

Defence Drill & Air Shield Combat – Girls

U-14: Pratishtha Arshiya Chaudhary, Hiti Kashyap, Manasvi Ummat and Janvi Dahiya – 1st Position, U-19: Parvati and Ananya Aggarwal – 1st Position, A-22: Anjali – 1st Position

The championship provided a valuable platform for young martial artists to showcase their skills, sportsmanship and confidence. The organizers congratulated all the participants, winners, coaches, parents and schools for their enthusiastic participation and support in making the championship a success.
