ISC/Crime Branch has busted interstate drug cartel with the arrest of two drug peddlers namely (1) Amit Singh Chauhan S/o Sh. Komal Singh R/o VPO Rura Addu, PS Orai Kotwali, Distt. Jalon UP, Age- 32 yrs (2) Surjeet Singh Chauhan S/o Sh. Mahender Singh Chauhan R/o Village Udhawa, PS Jigra, Distt. Datia, MP, Age- 32 yrs and their supplier (3) Adarsh Kumar @ Silu Katiyar S/o Beerendra Kumar R/o Vikas Nagar, Sikandra, Kanpur Dehat, UP, Age- 30 yrs and recovered 10.369 Kg of fine quality of Charas from their possession.
(MOREPIC1) Information was received at ISC/Crime Branch Chankyapuri, New Delhi that two persons namely Amit Singh Chauhan and Surjeet Singh Chauhan who are involved in drug supply in Delhi and other states, would come at Saket, South Delhi area to supply “Charas”.
Acting on this information a team led by Insp. Satendra Mohan consisting of Insp. Rampal, SIs Hemant, Mukesh, ASIs Samay Singh, Narender, HCs Sanjay, Shakti and Ct Shri Ram was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Ramesh Lamba, ACP/ISC Crime Branch.(SUBHEAD)
On 23.06.2022, on the basis of information, a trap was laid at Press Enclave Road, Saket, New Delhi and at about 9.20 PM two person were stopped. They were carrying “Pithu” bag on their back and on enquiry, they were not able to satisfy regarding the article inside the bags. After due process of law, the search of carry bag both person was made and fine quality of “Charas” weighing 10.369 Kgs was recovered from their possession.
Their identity was revealed as Amit Singh Chauhan and Surjeet Singh Chauhan. Accordingly, a case FIR No.116/2022 Dt. 24.06.2022 u/s 20 NDPS Act at PS Crime Branch, Delhi was registered in this regard.
Mr. Amit Goel, IPS, DCP, Crime Branch, said , on interrogation both the accused disclosed that they came to Delhi to deliver the supply of “Charas” as they wanted to make quick money. The international price of this fine quality “Charas” is about ₹ 1 crore. Both the accused collected the recovered consignment of “Charas” from a local supplier of Distt. Orai, UP and came to Delhi for delivery to a Delhi receiver as per information of supplier however caught by police team with recovered consignment.
Further, for the arrest of the supplier, a dedicated team of Insp. Mahipal, SIs Imran, Surender Rana, ASIs Yatander Malik, Sukender, Jaikumar, Vikas and HC Naveen was constituted. The team made sincere efforts and regular raids for one month. On 23.07.2022, team arrested the supplier namely Adarsh Kumar @ Silu Katiyar S/o Beerendra Kumar from Sikandra, Kanpur Dehat, UP. On interrogation, he disclosed that he used to take “Charas” from one Ram Balak r/o Raxaul, Bihar who further used to procure the same from Nepal. On further verification, it came to know that Ram Balak was arrested few days back by UP Police and he is presently in Kanpur Jail.
KNOW THE ACCUSED
Amit Singh Chauhan S/o Sh. Komal Singh R/o VPO Rura Addu, PS Orai Kotwali, Distt. Jalon UP is 32 years old. He has completed his graduation. Earlier he worked in Surat as watchman and then returned to native palace. Co-accused Surjit Singh is his childhood friend and they studied together up to class 8th in Datia, UP. He is habitual to consume Ganja and came in touch with Adarsh Kumar @ Silu Katiyar, supplier of contraband “Charas” based in Distt. Orai, UP and started supplying drug to earn quick money from this illegal drug trade.
Surjeet Singh Chauhan S/o Sh. Mahender Singh Chauhan R/o Village Udhawa, PS Jigra, Distt. Datia, MP, age- 32 yrs has studied up to 8th class. He earlier worked as watchman and nowadays he was jobless. He started supplying “Charas” with Amit Singh for earning quick money.
Adarsh Kumar @ Silu Katiyar S/o Beerendra Kumar R/o Vikas Nagar, Sikandra, Kanpur Dehat, UP, Age- 30 yrs has studied up to B.Sc (2nd Year) and ITI (Fitter). He is working as electrician but because of less work he was facing money problem. He was known to Ram Balak r/o Raxaul, Bihar who was a “Charas” supplier so he started taking delivery of “Charas” from him and further delivers to other person. After arrest of Amit and Surjeet, he was absconding from his house and hiding himself to avoid arrest.
