With the arrest of a supplier of illegal liquor, namely Anish (Age-30 years)S/O Sarafat R/O Village. Tharia, Dist: Sonipat, Haryana, NR-I Crime Branch has busted a syndicate of cross boarder supplier of illegal liquor in Delhi NCR area and recovered 50 cartons of illicit liquor which were being supplied to the different bootlegger of North and North West, Delhi. Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 168/22, dated 08.08.22, u/s 33/58 Delhi Excise Act. has been registered at PS Crime Branch, Delhi.
(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)On 08.08.2022, when a team led by Insp Alok Kumar Rajan alongwith Insp Sanjay Kaushik, SI Narender Singh, SI Surender, ASI Virender, ASI Yogesh, ASI Ramesh, ASI Ashok, HC Kuldeep, HC Kamaljeet under the close supervision of Sh. Anil Sharma, ACP, NR-1, Crime Branch was present in area to nab the cross border liquor mafia, an information was received that some illicit liquor supplier would be coming to supply large quantity of illicit liquor in Santro Car. According to information, a trap was led near DDA Park, JJ Colony, Wazirpur, Ashok Vihar, Delhi.(SUBHEAD)
In the morning hours, a Silver colour Hyundai Santro Car having no HR05N9329 was intercepted and on checking 50 cartons of liquor “for sale in Haryana only” were found in that. Apprehended Driver of the vehicle has been identified as Anish s/o Sarfat R/o Village. Tharia Dist: Sonipat, Haryana. Age 30 Yrs. Accordingly, a Case vide FIR No. 168/2022 dated 08.08.2022, u/s 33/38 Excise Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi has been registered and accused Anish has been arrested.
RECOVERY : During search of Santro Car no HR05N9329, total 50 cartons containing illicit liquor have been recovered from the boot space of car in which :-
• 15 cartons of bottles having 12 bottles in each carton of Murthal No.1, Countary Spirit, Frost Falcon Distilleries Ltd. having quantity 750 ML for sale in Haryana only.• 09 cartons of quarters having 50 quarters in each carton of Race-7, Frost Falcon Distilleries Ltd. having quantity 180 ML for sale in Haryana only.• 26 cartons of quarters having 50 quarters in each carton of Santra Desi Sharab, Frost Falcon Distilleries Ltd. having quantity of 180 ML for sale in Haryana only. • One Santro Car bearing registration number HR 05 N 9329.
Vichitra Veer (IPS), DCP/Crime-III, said, the accused Anish has been interrogated at length and on sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he studied upto 11th class. After his father had met an accident, hence he had to bear the responsibilities of his family including parents and younger siblings and left studies. He was influenced by one of the defamed suppliers of liquor in his village as he was earning huge by supplying illicit liquor in Delhi and other states and started working with him. He started supplying illicit liquor in Bhalaswa and nearby areas.
In the year 2015 and 2016 he was arrested twice with the illicit liquor in PS Bhalaswa and Swaroop Nagar. After coming out of the Jail, he continued supplying Illicit Liquor across the border. While in transit, one of his associate use to escort the vehicle loaded with the illicit liquor and ensure the safe delivery to his different clients. As per the interrogation so far, he disclosed that it was a multi-level chain of supply. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
