PURAV RAJA AND DIVIJ SHARAN ENTER DOUBLES FINAL IN FRANCE

(MOREPIC1)  FRANCE: Purav Raja and Divij Sharan moved into the doubles final after beating Theo Arribage of France and Luke Johnson of Great Britain 4-6, 7-5, 10-7 in the € 67,960 Open de Vendee, Mouilleron le Captif, France. The match lasted one hour and 37 minutes.

Raja and Sharan won 73 percent points (35/48) on the first serve and 35 percent points (9/26) on the second serve. They saved three out of six breakpoints.

Theo Arribage and Luke Johnson earned 76 percent points (31/41) on first serve and 44 percent points (12/27) on second serve. They wasted three breakpoints.

Theo Arribage and Luke Johnson won the first set at 6-4 after breaking Raja and Sharan in the 8th and 10th games. They also suffered a break in the ninth game but won the set in 36 minutes.
In the second set, the pairs exchanged breaks in the third and fourth games (2-2). Raja and Sharan gained a crucial break in the 11th game to take a 6-5 lead and wrapped up the set at 7-5 in 47 minutes.
Tied one set all, the Indian players took 12 minutes to finish the match tie-breaker at 10-7 and clinched the spot in the final.

YUKI-MYNENI IN TITLE ROUND: Third seeded Indian pair of Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni advanced into the doubles final after disposing of the challenge of Maximilan Marterer of Germany and Maximilan Neuchrist of Australia 6-3, 6-2 in the doubles semi-final of the $ 53,120 Gwangju Open Challenge, South Korea, on Friday.

The Indian pair will clash with Nicolas Barrientos of Colombia and Miguel-Angel Reyes-Varela of Mexico for the title. Nicolas and Miguel got a walkover against Yunseong Chung of Korea and Alexsandar Kovacevic of USA in the second semi-final.

ANIRUDH-N VIJAY LOSE: Siddhant Banthia of India, teaming with Carl Emil Overbeck of Denmark beat Indian duo of Anirudh Chandrasekar and N Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-3, 7-5 in the doubles quarter-final in straight sets 6-3 7-5 in the $53,120 Tiburon Challenger, United States.

JEEVAN AND SRIRAM LOSE: The winning run of the Indian pair of N Sriram Balaji and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan was terminated by top seeds Tomislav Brkic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nikola Cacic of Serbia in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in the doubles semi-final in the of the € 134,920 Parma Challenger, Italy. The match lasted one hour and 14 minutes.

Brkic and Cacic broke Balaji and Jeevan in the fourth game of the first set to take a 4-2 lead. The Indian duo broke back in the fifth game to reduce the margin 2-3. Brkic and Cacic then earned a vital break in the eighth game to lead 5-3 and held their serve to win the set at 6-3 in 33 minutes.
In the second set, Brkic and Cacic registered an early break in the first game and went on to win the set at 6-4 in 40 minutes to emerge winners.

Jeevan and Balaji earned €2,740 and 45 points.
