Mr. H.C. Arora, socialite, RTI activist and Punjab and Haryana High Court advocate in a communication to Haryana Chief Secretary requested to cancel the parole granted to Ram Rahim Chief of Dera Sacha Sauda for sake to maintain peace in Punjab.
(MOREPIC1) In his communication Mr. Arora referred his demand notice dated 29.10.2022, requesting Chief Secretary to impress upon the Chief Minister, Haryana, to issue appropriate instructions for cancelling the parole granted to Ram Rahim.
He had subsequently filed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) also in the Hon’ble High Court, seeking cancellation of 40 days’ parole granted by Divisional Commissioner, Rohtak to Ram Rahim He had stated in the aforesaid PIL (which is likely to be listed for hearing on Monday (21st.November ) that on account of parole granted to Ram Rahim , and particularly due to his holding online satangs every day, and releasing videos of his songs, there is serious apprehension of breach of peace in the State of Punjab.(SUBHEAD)
He further said, my apprehensions have come true, when yesterday (10.11.2022), one Dera follower (Pardip Singh @ Pardeep Kumar) was murdered by six assailants in broad day light in Kotkapura town in Punjab. He was one of the accused in a case of alleged secrelage to Guru Granth Sahib.
This is a most condemnable act of anti-social elements, who want to fish in troubled waters of Punjab and Haryana, and release of Ram Rahim on parole is adding fuel to the fire. Therefore, it is high time that Divisional Commissioner, Rohtak be directed to cancel the parole granted to Ram Rahim, which is otherwise to expire on 24.11.2022.
Meanwhile, Ram Rahim may be disallowed to hold any online religious congregations (satsangs), and may also be restrained from uploading any new videos on YouTube. It can not be lost sight of the fact that Ram Rahim is also named as accused in those FIRs, in which the aforesaid Pardeep Singh @ Prdeep Kumar (now dead) was arrayed as an accused.
