Chandigarh police achieved a major success by arresting two accused namely Naveen Kumar S/o Sonu R/o # 675, Ramdarbar, Phase-1, Chandigarh, Age 24 years & Rajat S/o Jaspal Singh R/o # 1055, Ramdarbar, Phase-1, Chandigarh, Age 26 years, who were involved in burglary case FIR No 19 dated 27.02.2023 U/s 380, 454 IPC added 411, 381, 120-B IPC, PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh, which was registered on the complaint of Mohit Behal S/o Rakesh Behal, Authorized official of M/s Octave showroom, Store No. 23A, Ground floor, Elante Mall, Ind. Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh, in which he reported that on 27.02.2023 between 8.55 am to 9.05 am, an unknown person entered in their above mentioned store and stolen Cash Rs. 80,500/- along with some perfumes of value Rs. 13,095/-.
(SUBHEAD)During the course of investigation, it came to notice that accused Naveen was lost his job & he is not having any source of income, whereas Rajat has a huge credit card debt. So, Rajat S/o Jaspal Singh R/o # 1055, Ramdarbar, Phase-1, Chandigarh, who is the employee of the Octave Showroom, who planned to commit theft at his office/working place, with the help of his friend Naveen Kumar S/o Sonu R/o # 675, Ramdarbar, Phase-1, Chandigarh.
During further investigation of case property i.e. perfumes & cash recovered from the possession of both accused persons.
Accused produced before the Hon’ble court and sent to judicial custody. Investigation of the case is going on.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Naveen Kumar (24) S/o Sonu, 675, Ramdarbar, Phase-1, Chandigarh, studied upto Matric, presently unemployed & in the past he was working at Hotel Ramada, Zirakpur, Punjab, was arrested on March 27 and recovered cash of Rs. 5 thousand and one perfune. He was previously involved in Case FIR No. 130/2019 U/s 354-D, 506 IPC & 12 POCSO Act, PS- 31, Chandigarh
The other accused Rajat (26) S/o Jaspal Singh, 1055, Ramdarbar, Phase-1, Chandigarh, studied upto 10+2, working at Octave show room, Elante Mall, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh and was arrested on March 28, case proper recovered Cash of Rs. 5 thousand and one perfume, previous he was involved in case Case FIR No. 186/2015 U/s 379, 427, 411 IPC, PS-34, Chandigarh & case FIR No. 46/2021 U/s 324, 341, 506 IPC, PS- 31, Chandigarh.
