BOWL OUT CANCER, SEASON 2 HELD AT THE GAME PALACIO, NEXUS ELANTE

FUNDS GENERATED WILL BE USED FOR CANCER PATIENTS' TREATMENT

A two-day long event– Bowl out Cancer (Season 2)– was held at The Game Palacio at Nexus Elante. The event witnessed a bowling competition in which participants showed their bowling skills. The event which was organized by Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown, saw a huge response from the people of the tricity. 150+ people participated.

Top 18 finalists were selected and 4 winners got prizes. Many people participated in the league just to support the cause. The funds collected from sale of passes shall be donated for the treatment of cancer patients. In fact, some needy cancer patients were even a part of the tournament.(SUBHEAD)

“I firmly believe that together we are tougher than cancer. Every moment of a cancer patient’s life is full of unbearable, relentless pain. I am glad that our efforts are drawing good response from the people of Tricity,” said Riya Wadhwa, President of Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown.

Talking about the event, Riya Wadhwa said: “Rotaract Club Chandigarh Midtown organised Season 2 of Bowl out Cancer, a bowling championship with an aim of reducing the financial burden that the ill cancer patients suffer. All the funds generated through the event will be donated for the treatment of cancer patients.” She added that society as a whole needs to work together to ameliorate the pains of cancer patients.

For the participants there were prizes worth Rs 50,000 along with special gifts and vouchers from sponsors of the event.
