EDUCATION AND RESIDENCE IN HARYANA, DUPING PEOPLE IN UTTERAKHAND ,WANTED IN MORE THAN 12 CRIMINAL CASES., REWARD OF RS. 51,500/- DECLARED BY UTTARAKHAND POLICE AND ARREST IN DELHI

A team of Western Range-I/Crime Branch arrested a notorious rewardee cheat Kapil Dev Rathi, 42 years, R/o Sakhol, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. He is wanted in 12 criminal cases of Uttarakhand State and a total reward of ₹ 51,500/- was declared by the Uttarakhand police in various cases.
Secret information was received by HC Naveen Kumar that a notorious rewardee cheat, wanted in more than 12 cases registered in various police stations of Uttarakhand, is hiding in the area of Bakkarwala, Delhi.
Accordingly, a team led by Insp Manoj Dahiya comprising ASI Krishan, ASI Sunil and HC Naveen in the close supervision of ACP Raj Kumar was constituted by DCP Satish Kumar and Joint CP S.D. Mishra to nab the criminal. With the help of technical support the team apprehended one Kapil Dev Rathi R/o Sakhol, Bahadurgarh, Haryana from the area of Bakkarwala, Delhi.
Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police Crime, said, during the course of investigation, it is revealed that accused Kapil Dev Rathi cheated a large number of people to the tune of more than 20 crores. He is wanted in 12 criminal cases of different police station of Uttarakhand. Owing to the criminal activities and FIRs lodged against him, the Uttarakhand police also imposed U.P Gangsters Act against the accused Kapil Dev Rathi and his associates and declared reward of ₹ 51,500/- on his arrest in different cases.
On interrogation, accused Kapil Dev Rathi disclosed that he is involved in many cases in Uttarakhand including murder and Gangster Act. He worked as an agent in many Insurances company since 2002. In 2012, he along with his associates started a co-operative society in the name & style of “Janshakti Multi State Multi-Purpose Co-Operative Society Ltd.”.
(SUBHEAD)After some time, he opened branches of the society in 12 states of India. He lured the people for high interest rates and open accounts of many people in his society. He also lured people to invest more money in his society through FD/RD/Bachat Patra etc. and get more profit. Since 2021, he stopped paying deposit money to the investors. In this manner, he cheat many people worth more than 20 crores at many places of Uttarakhand through his society. He is the main conspirator of the scam and also president of the society.

Reward of ₹ 25,000/- was declared by the Superintendent of Police, Uttrakashi, Uttarakhand for his arrest in case FIR No.80/2022, U/s 420/406/505/120B IPC P.S Kotwali, Uttrakashi, Uttarakhand, Reward of Rs. 1,500/ was declared by the senior Superintendent of Police, Tehri Garhvaal, Uttarakhand for his arrest in case FIR No. 63/22, U/s 420/467/468/471/120B, P.S Kotwali New Tihri, Uttarakhand.
